Academic Quality
Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) is multifaceted and pivotal in maintaining and elevating academic quality within higher education institutions. Through their efforts, they contribute to the overall excellence of academic programs, teaching, research, and student experiences, ultimately ensuring that institutions produce graduates who are well-prepared for their future careers.

Mission of QEC
Our QEC mission is to strive for academic excellence in education and research by implementing of quality assurance practices to meet the requirements of the stakeholders. This would be achieved by benchmarking, implementing academic standards and integrating quality assurance practices in the teaching learning process.
Functions of QEC
- QEC would make sure that the quality and standards of the award of degrees are improved and protected.
- It is responsible for the review of quality standards and the quality of teaching and learning in each subject area.
- It is responsible for the review of academic affiliations with other institutions in terms of effective management of standards and quality of programs.
- It is responsible for defining clear and explicit standards as points of reference for the reviews to be carried out. It should also help the employees to know as to what they could expect from candidates.
- It is responsible to develop qualifications framework by setting out the attributes and abilities that can be expected from the holder of a qualification.
- QEC develops a program specifications; it clarify what learning outcome (knowledge, understanding, skills and other attributes) a student will develop on successfully completing a specific program.
- QEC develops quality assurance processes and methods of evaluation to make sure that the quality of provision and the standard of award of degrees are being kept up and to foster curriculum and staff development along with research and other academic activities.
- It ensures that quality assurance procedures are meeting the arrangements in place nationally for preserving and improving the quality of Higher Education.
